Fashion Forward: Dear Santa #3

I don't think i've said it enough...

i <3 pyjamas.

Seriously. It's an obsession.

So, Santa, if you happen to be secretly following my blog, please could you bring me a pair of ultra comfy, ultra warm PJs so i can be a big old slouch and read, tweet and blog in supreme comfort. I promise i will be good for the entire duration of next year and i will even leave you a pint of lager on the mantlepiece (i know that you don't really like sherry very much).

I'm really fussy about my pyjamas. I like the shirt and trouser variety, none of this shorts and ridy-up strappy top nonsense. Give me full on "pyjama" pyjamas any day of the week.

Womens aerie cozy pj pant - Yellow, $25

the sea and I.

If there were just one word to sum up yesterday it would be cold fun. Okay so that's two words, and two that most of us wouldn't put together very often. But yesterday...I drove a six hour round trip to go bodyboarding. Oh yes. It was f-f-freezing.

(that is not my beer can...boo people who litter!  :( there was a whole pile just out of shot that I put in the bin.)

there may be a phone cable under this pole...

and when we got home...

it was snowing :D

The sea was colder than expected and although my wetsuit kept me reasonably warm, I had to borrow a large wetsuit sock to keep my left foot from dropping off. What i didn't notice was the large hole in the bottom of it, so each time a wave came in I got a nice rush of cold water up my left leg! My toes were numb by the time I went back in! It was so much fun once I was in. There's always that 10 minutes before you get your wetsuit on, where you look at the sea and dwell on the coldness of it. The only reason I went in was because I'd told everyone I was going to; if it weren't for you guys on Twitter i'd have bottled it :) I love that I can share these crazy things I do as it's happening, so if you're on Twitter, follow me!

Ferry to France tomorrow. Me + boats = ...not good!

Fashion Forward: Dear Santa #2

I'm here!!!! No hiccups this week :)

After my little Christmas buy yesterday, i'd quite like Santa to bring me something to keep it nice, shiny and dent free. I have to admit, I have a teeny, tiny tendency to scratch up my phones as soon as I get them, so I really need a cute little cosy to keep it safe and warm. I thought these were perfect!

I'm looking for more so if you see any ultra cute ones drop me an email!

Pop the link to your FF post in the boxy below if you would like to join in the fun and if you'd just like to read the posts that's fine too :D

the perils of buying first, thinking later.

uh oh...

i got a bit shop happy with my Christmas money...

is it awfully terrible of me?

i feel a bit guilty as i know i probably should have spent the money on something a tad more sensible, but it was given to me to get myself a pressie! eek, i love it already.

Speaking of love, Le Kitty surprised me earlier with a long meow...i have no idea how long he'd been sitting next to me, staring at my attempts to set up email on my phone (EMAIL!!!!!!!!ON A PHONE!!!!!). He's now attached himself to my lap. Le Kitty is tres sweet, although when I came back the other day, I found him doing this to my knitting needles...

I'm driving to see my Mr tomorrow so I won't see Le Kitty for a long while :( Hopefully my Aunt will bring him to see me one day.

xoxo

Thursday already?

eek. I have to give a huge "i'm sorry" to those who were joining in with Fashion Forward this week. I had it all done last Thursday and scheduled it for early Monday morning...obviously something went wrong!

Little Winston got in a fight (well he was just][[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[yu677777777777777777777777777777777777777hmg

..... Winston just sat on my keyboard, i'll leave that in for comic effect.

He was running away and certainly wasn't facing up to the big bully kitty as he got bitten on his back and now has a MAHOOOOOSIVE abcess. (Guess who gets to drain it...)

and here he is with his collar on, feeling awfully sorry for himself

He really is the sweetest thing ever.

I'm knitting like crazy. I have lots of pressies to finish and i've barely finished one. Of course my listening to "Defying Gravity" over and over isn't helping. Neither is singing into a hairbrush, pretending to be a star. Do i do this too often? Hmmm, probably!

Fashion Forward: Dear Santa #1

I'm feeling Christmasy. Yes, this means you must all run and hide because if you see me out on the street i am likely to run up to you and sing Christmas carols in your ear until your only sensible course of action is to use your  initiative and sing back to me. Then we can twirl, hand in hand, around in the snow.

"Deck the halls with boughs of holly! Fa la la la la, la la la laaaaaaaa!"

My official picks this Monday are Christmas party related. I love wearing dresses for the party season, but unless you live somewhere unbelievably sunny and warm, then your legs are probably never going to forgive you.  So this sweetheart of a dress should be teamed with some really thick black tights and maybe even a longer sleeved shrug to keep away the shivers. Of course the good thing about the cold is that I can slip my feet in to those "one-size-to-small" shoes and not have much pain until the next morning...it's worth it!

Items in this set:
Metallic Twist Back Tunic, 30 GBP
Velvet Ribbon Shrug, 40 GBP
FENDI 8K3328 GREY/BLACK VELVET -, 584 GBP
Pamela Love Eagle Claw Bronze Necklace
FFFFOUND! | Dropular : Media Bookmarking

I am absolutely NOT suggesting you go out a spend 584 Great British Pounds on a pair of shoes, especially if they are too small, but...a girl can dream :) What would you spend the money on? Pop the link to your FF post in the box below! (Not sure what to do? Have a read of our guidelines.)

EDIT: Sorry it's up late. I had this post scheduled for early this morning and then had to take a little kitty to the vets so i didn't notice it hadn't posted.

Attack of the nerdling

In case you haven't noticed, i'm a bit of nerd and this is what i do when i get bored.

Venturing out with Grandma later today. We are going on a great expedition...to the garden centre, the place where brown plants are sold for a small fortune and bunny rabbits get stared at by people who desperately need to have a cute bundle of fluff, but their Mr won't let them have one...*ahem*

see you later alligators.

xoxo

PS. seriously excited about hosting Fashion Forward again this month! roll on Monday!

PPS. if i come back with 50 bunnies...i may need to borrow some carrots.

grandma, me and chocolate makes three.

Just a quick post to show you what i've been up to so far on my little holiday. I'm looking after my Grandma during the day so we can't really do much apart from the crossword, daytime tv and eating chocolates! But we have had the knitting needles out and i've made good progress in the scarf i've been making as a gift for someone. I cast on quite a width of stitches so it can be double as a wrap for winter evenings. I'm not sure i'll be able to let it go when it's done... it's pretty!

And in case you were wondering...those chocolates are all gone now. YUM!

xoxo

(i had to snap that photo really quickly. Grandma whipped that box away as quick as lightening and dug right in)
