The birthday.

Twenty five. Twenty-flooping-five. 

Me, post birthday celebrations on Saturday.

This is my new age and I sort of like it! Monday through Wednesday were more or less spent in a "getting to grips with being half way to thirty" stupor, but in the midst of the birthday blues I made a decision, a small one, but still a decision. I need to read more. I used to love reading and although I still read, it's become a bit of a chore and I'm not excited about it anymore. So to remedy this I've ordered myself a Kindle, 'cause you know how much I love new technology! 

When it turned up today it wouldn't fit through the letter box and my Mister didn't hear the doorbell, so it's been sent back to the sorting office! Now I have to wait 'til the morning to pick it up. 

*sulks*

There is an empty space where my Kindle should be...

While I wait for my ereader what thoughts do you have on books I should read? I feel like reading something a little whimsical; nothing too depressing. Is there anything out there you think I might like? Suggestions please! Old books or new. I'm not a fussy girl.

I've had a lovely birthday. Grandma cooked me lunch and I had cupcakes and tea on the lawn with just me, myself and the Hoots, and a spot of knitting (a lime slouch hat). Somehow though I've ended up in a dilemma, a fashion one. Next week i'm going out for birthday crazies with my best friends and I face the eternal girly dilemma...nothing to wear. I can't afford a new outfit so i'm challenging myself to make my own. I've just downed a cup of coffee and i'm surrounded by old clothes that could be cut up and reworked, but I need some inspiration. Help! Inspire me girlies!

Your days are numbered at 24

Oh hiii. It's awfully late here and i'm sat in bed with a glass of lemonade, listening to Paramore and basically seeing in my birthday with style.

I'm 24 today! Usually my birthday's fly by without me paying any real attention, but for some reason the last few days I've been full of thought. The main thing on my mind; what do I want to do with this next year?

I'm going to have a think about my aspirations and goals and i'll post them up later.
