This trio originally took my eye with their name as it features on of my very favourite words: Catapult. I could ramble off into a history of why I like this word so much, but I won't...

Elizabeth & the Catapult, are a band I can see myself listening to through the sunny days of Spring. They've a definite indie edge to their sound. Lyrically deep without taking themselves too seriously, I am so excited to have them in my music library! Check them out and let me know what you think in the comment section.

For me, Spring means weekend driving in the first sunshine and what better to listen to than a little ukulele and a voice to melt your heart. Misty, 16, cites Elvis and Bob Dylan among those who inspire her song writing and has just finished recording her debut album. Listening to 'Bones', this girl has definate grit, but isn't afraid to show her soft side. Certainly one to watch; certainly one to have on standby for surf trips! Come back next Wednesday to see the second on my list of new music artists for Spring :)
